Why Smoker Can't Stop Smoking?
World Health Organization reported tobacco responsible for approximately 5 million death a year. Even though most of the smokers are aware of the potential health problems of being a smoker, only about 5% of them are able to stop smoking on their own. Reasons why the other 95% keep smoking is because of
- no signs of health damage from smoking yet
- difficult to find a substitute activity for smoking
- not able to cope with stress without smoking
- can't afford to leave certain social group
- not able to withstand withdrawal symptoms of quitting nicotine
- smoking habit is controlled by the subconscious mind, not effective to quit with conscious mind

How To Quit Smoking Effectively With Clinical Hypnotherapy?
All our habits are controlled by the subconscious mind. It is very effective to quit smoking by working with the subconscious mind.
Generally, in my Quit Smoking therapy session, I will regress the patient into a trance to recall their first experience with smoking which usually physically is uncomfortable e.g. coughing or headache. This will lead them to understand that our body is able to feel the negative effect of smoking and trying to reject it in the initial stage of smoking.
I will facilitate my client to find an alternative to smoking which is acceptable by the subconscious mind. With this, I will give suggestion for the subconscious mind to execute stop smoking command by covering the below area as well:-
- minimize withdrawal symptoms
- forget about smoking in the past
- manage desire to pick up smoking again
- strengthen benefit of quit smoking at subconscious level
- instil good feeling of non-smoker and let the subconscious mind to remember it
The above could be covered in a special " 1 Session Quit Smoking Program" for habitual smoker or divide into a minimum of 4 sessions for those who has underlying issues where smoking is just their coping strategy for their underlying issues.
